In the months leading up to the Screenprint Showdown Event, the Screenprint Showdown Team ran the Screenprint Showdown Design Contest, which called for people who live in San Jose and people who love San Jose to submit their designs for the city's next great symbol--its new visual identity if you will.
Over those months, we received a hugely encouraging amount of high-quality design submissions, which validated our belief in our city's ability to express its experiences in a visually beautiful and emotionally moving manner.
Once the Design Contest Deadline had passed, a panel of esteemed judges brought together by the Screenprint Showdown Team voted on their favorite fifty designs. These 50 designs will be on display at the Screenprint Showdown for everyone to view and engage and enjoy. However, that's not all they'll be on display for.
YOU and everyone who attends the Screenprint Showdown Event will be able to vote for your favorite design.
All you'll need to do is:
1. Explore the designs on display at the event.
2. Approach one of our iPad stations at the event.
3. Find your favorite design on the iPad.
4. Submit your vote for it.
Voting ends at 3 PM so make sure you get there in time.
How do we determine the winner?
At the end of the event, we will tally the votes and award the top vote-getter with the Screenprint Showdown Design Contest's People's Choice Winner.
What does the winner get?
The People's Choice Winner will receive a year-long subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud as well as a $500 grant from San Jose's Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) to go toward their professional development.
*NOTE: If you are an Adobe employee, you will not be eligible to receive Adobe Creative Cloud as part of your prize package. However, you will still be eligible to receive the rest of your prizes.

We'll be drawing one random name from the Facebook Event's list of people either Interested in the event and Going to the event. That person will receive a free year subscription of Adobe Creative Cloud. You must be at the event to claim your prize.
